BCS-BCP-1. Students will understand the nature of and practice written


communication by planning and writing documents that are appropriate for the

situation, purpose, and audience.

My meaning: students will write there essays depending on the situation and the purpose of it
they will also write essays appropriate for the audience to read

BCS-BCP-2. Students will understand the nature of and practice oral

communication by communicating in a clear, courteous, concise, and appropriate

manner.
 
My meaning: students will talk to each other respectfully and will not fight at all they will also respect an other's boundaries and things

BCS-BCP-3. Students will listen discriminately and respond appropriately to oral

communication.
 My meaning: students will answer back with courtesy only when spoken to

BCS-BCP-4. Students will locate, assess, and use information from a variety of
print and online sources.

My Meaning: students will use the Internet for research only not for own amusement

BCS-BCP-5. Students will read and analyze for content, interpretation, and
inference.

My meaning: students will read books interpret them and use them when necessary to the assignment

Minimum wage

The new minimum wage laws were pasted on july 24, 2009 the minimum wage now will be $7.25 per hour.
This change reflects the third and final federal minimum wage increase as amended under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

in 1938 the minimum wage was $0.25/hr in 1968 minimum wage was the highest at $10.10.
the period of 1997-207 was the longest non-changing of minimum wage.
The minimum wage increased in three $0.70 increments--to $5.85 in July, 2007, $6.55 in July, 2008, and to $7.25 in July 2009.
the new minimum wage laws are expected to help out the 31 states that were affected by it which include: Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

business owners work 24/7/365 though they still have time for there selves they still are on call

lawyers work 40 hours a week and some may work around the clock or 80 hours a week
lawyers get health care
lawyers don't/do pay for training depending if you get a diploma or not but have to attend college

Army
you don't pay for training
you can go to college because the army gives you a diploma
you work on a daily basis
you make about 1203.90 a month and you make more the higher the rank

BCS-BCP-8. Students will demonstrate a variety of written and oral skills in the

pursuit of employment in the communication and multimedia fields.

My meaning: students will write neatly when applying for jobs in the communication and multimedia fields such as phone company's, news stations, or other jobs in the communication area
